Purity as a Weapon

Love is Pure by Kirsten Borror

The Firemouth Cichlid gets its name from its coloration and also because it will enlarge and flail the extra flesh around its mouth as a means of scaring away predators from its eggs. This motion appears like a burst of flames.  Protection, fight, battle, demand, shout, jump; when under attack from the Evil One who seeks to kill, steal and destroy, we will need to put our armor on and seek the Lord for direction. The Lord is described as a consuming fire; He will see His justice come. His words are fire, and they will burn up whatever is not everlasting. Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven where nothing can destroy it. Allow the Lord to purify you by burning away the obstructions in your heart that keep His Spirit shut out.  Why hold onto dead things; those things destined for the Fire?

Like the potter, the Lord has the right to correct, shape, tear down, or build up His people.  The Lord is the spring of life.  Trust in The Spring Who makes our leaves green, who keeps us fruit-bearing in heat and drought.  To trust in anyone or anything less brings us to the world of the dead, destruction, disaster, shame, infertile ground.  Lord, make us into a worthy temple, Your glorious throne, established on a high mountain.  Pray to the One Who Raises the Dead! Jeremiah 17:5-13 You can't do battle with the Dark One if your armor is impure.
