Just got back from MASSCreative Regional Kick-off in Brockton. What a great night. Matt Wilson, Katy Hannigan, and volunteers put together a nice reception and presentation to share the new effort to unite the Arts of Massachusetts. MASSCreative empowers creative organizations, individuals, and the public with a powerful voice to advocate for the resources and attention necessary to build vibrant, creative, and connected communities across Massachusetts. The most fun of the evening was discovering other art zealots doing cool artsy events in Plymouth County.

See Yours Truly in the back? The woman up front likes to create "Yarn Bombs" the newest art term for my lexicon. Look it up on Youtube! Hey, I think I saw one in Marshfield Hills across from the North River Arts Society!
Did you know there are 27 towns in this County? That's a lot of arts! Unfortunately, tonight I didn't meet everyone, but here are the highlights: Noelle Foye of ARTWORKS! Kevin Dambruch of the Milton Art Center, Jose Monteiro of Movimentu Shokanti, Mark Rocheteau, Coordinator of Fine Arts Production at Massasoit Community College, Donna Eleyi, and Arnie Danielson of Brockton Arts, Philip Hasouris of YANAFIDE Foundation, Inc, Carolyn Cole of Easton Shovel Town Cultural District, and Andrea Tooker of Wrentham Cultural Council. You missed out tonight, but this is just the beginning. Sign you and your organization up so you don't miss out again!
