From the publishers, Random House: “It has been a long time since there has been such excitement about a spine chilling thriller from a new female Australian talent.” They are referring to the novel “Beyond Fear” written by Jaye Ford. It has also been described as “an adrenaline-pumping debut thriller, inspired by real events, from a trailblazing Australian journalist.

Meet Jaye Ford at Camden Library and hear her talk about her book and her writing. She is a former journalist, who worked in print, radio and television for 12 years. She was Australia’s first female presenter of a national sports show, hosting “Sport Report” (as Janette Fulford) on SBS in 1988-89. She is working on her second psychological thriller and lives at Lake Macquarie.

About the book...”At seventeen, if you watched your best friend die at the hands of brutal attackers, who would you be today? Even though you got away could you ever really escape? What if your worst fears came true...again. Now thirty-five and a mother, Jodie Cramer keeps her horrific past buried deep. When she sets out for a weekend

in the country with her three best friends, all she has in mind is a few laughs and a break from routine...!
